I’m Dane Lyn, a queer, disabled poet, educator, and glitter enthusiast. I write about identity, family, grief, survival, and the strange tenderness of living in a body. I’m interested in poems that tell the truth without cleaning it up, make room for uncertainty, and still find something worth wondering at.
Professional Bio
Dane Lyn (they/them) is a queer, disabled, neurosparkly poet and educator. Their work explores the complicated ways tenderness persists alongside harm. They hold an MFA from Lindenwood University, are a two-time Pushcart Prize nominee, and serve as Managing Editor of Ink & Marrow. Their poetry collection, bubblegum black, was published by Bottlecap Press in 2023, to rave reviews from their mom. Their work has also appeared in numerous literary journals and anthologies. Dane lives in Southern California, where they maintain a ridiculous succulent collection and remain disproportionately proud of their five scavenger hunt runner-up ribbons.
